This Engine Control Module Bench Harness 24-25 GM E42 6.6L L5P is used with our BenchForce PowerBlock™ to program GM E42 Global B ECMs. The GM E42 ECM introduced a new type of Molex ECU header and its mating connector. Several new terminal types were introduced as well (TPX50-50 and TPX120). With three different types of terminals required, new crimp tooling was necessary. This genuine Molex 93 cavity ECU connector requires a dress cover to lock the lever in the seated position. Using SLS printing technology, we've manufactured our own PA12 (nylon) dress cover that is highly ductile while rigid in its use.
IMPORTANT! KNOW YOUR APPLICATION
The E42 ECM is Global B platform. It requires a 3rd party unlock service to communicate. BenchForce does not offer ECU unlock services.
More than this, you may have to create your own "car in a box" to communicate with Global B ECMs when modules are not present on the bench. GM has created a physical messaging requirement that goes beyond what some programming interface tools are capable of overcoming.
